We
have been in the business of raising quality performance
horses for over thirty years. Our program has been centered
around performance horses, specializing in cow horses. We
have some extremely well bred stallions and are excited
about their foals. Some of the greats are close up in our
bloodlines: own sons of Doc's Oak, and Mr. Sun Olena. Our
broodmares are Doc's Benito Bar, Dry Doc Junior, Roan Bar 2
- AQHA Champion and AQHA World Champion Sire, My Name Is
Faber, Play Lika Hickory, Doc O Dynamite, etc. crossed with
some speed. They are picked by breeding, size, conformation,
correctness, bone, foot, disposition, and ability to both
perform and produce an excellent quality foal.
Sugs Red Oak -"Oak"-is a 1999
bay stallion sired by Doc's Oak. Doc's Oak was 4th in the
Open NCHA in 1978 and 5th in Jr. Cutting at the 1977 World
Championship Show. He won over $70,000 when the purses
didn't have a lot of money in them. He has sired World
Champions, Reserve World Champions, Superior Performance,
AQHA High Point Performance, NRHA Money-earners, NCHA
Money-earners, ROM Performers, Halter Point Earners, Working
Cow Horse Money-earners, NRCHA Money-Earners. "Oak's" dam
was an NCHA Money-earner producer by Sugar Bar Flit, the
sire of ROM Performance, Superior Performance, NCHA
Money-earners, and World Champions. "Oak" is showing the
ability in the cutting pen to follow his pedigree of
performance horses and NCHA Money earners. He is an NCHA
Money Earner and a MCHA Year End Award winner with very
limited showing. Oak's only foal to be shown to date is also
an NCHA Money Earner. See more
about "Oak" in the Stallions page.

We like our mares to run out year round and just be horses.
Some of the older mares are kept in close during the winter
months and fed extra. We have several mares that are in
their mid-twenties and still producing great foals for us.
Due to the severe drought that we have been in, we have
reduced the number of mares we have; we feel that we have
sold some great young mares, but hopefully we have kept the
best for what our goal is -- raising some tremendous cow
horse prospects that are bred for cutting, working cowhorse,
and reining. We hope you like what you see in our site.
